I keep track of the books that I read using Goodreads which is the world’s largest site for readers and book recommendations. Their mission is to help people find and share books they love. This site has been so great in helping me log books that I have read and use my ratings for those books to find new books that I would be interested in.
Each year, you can set a reading goal on Goodreads that they will help you keep track of. I usually set of goal of twelve books (one a month). Last year I exceeded my goal a bit by reading fifteen books but that was back when we lived in Hawaii and spent our weekends lounging at the beach. Oh, and before I had a baby to tend to. Finding some alone time to read is so much more difficult now that I have a child and it only gets harder the older he gets. I guess if I want to include board books in my total books read, I would smash my reading goal but I don’t really think those count.
When I logged into Goodreads to see if I had reached my goal for the year (which I did!), I found that they created a neat infographic about all of the books I had read.
Isn’t this so cool? Do you want a Goodreads My Year In Books 2016 infographic for the books you read this year? You can still get one if you log into Goodreads and put in the books you read this year. Just make sure to include a ‘Read’ date and set it for sometime in 2016 for it to be added to this graphic.
