Ebates In-Store Cash Back

As a part of my Cozy Vox Box from Influenster, I received some information about Ebates. I’ve actually had an account with Ebates for a few years but I have never tried it out before.

It is actually really easy to earn cash back on almost all purchases you make online using Ebates. Simply log into your Ebates account, search for the online store you want to shop at, click a link in that stores profile and then you are all set and will receive a percentage of your purchases back quarterly.

After my son’s first birthday that just past earlier this month, I’m a little shopped out but my husband and I have been interested in getting a few items to decorate the house. I decided to check out Ebates to see if they had any home decor merchants we could shop at. While checking out the different tabs on the front page I came across their In-Store Cash Back section and saw that Cost Plus World Market was available with a 2% cash back offer.

I’ve browsed Cost Plus World Market online and in-store several times but I had never purchased anything even though I have found things that I like. One thing that keeps me from buying from their online store is that many of the items that I have been interested in have high shipping and handling charges plus additional delivery surcharges. Being able to use the cash back in-store is a great way to avoid these additional charges.

To make sure there was actually something that I wanted at Cost Plus World Market, first I went to their website and searched around. I ended up finding a large world map art piece that my husband and I fell in love with. If we were to purchase it from the website, it would have cost an additional $32.95 in shipping and surcharges. On the site, however, I could check to see if the piece was available in the store near my home and luckily it was!

Next step was to go back to Ebates to lock in my in-store cash back. To activate the in-store cash back, I went back to the In-Store Cash Back Section and selected Link Card next to Cost Plus World Market. From there, I was able to add in the credit card details for the card I planned to use when I purchased the map at the store. After that, I was all set to go to the store!

Below are both of the items I ended up purchasing:

Six-Piece World Map Set
Norah Gray Wash Wood Clock

Seriously, all I did was use the credit card that I linked to the Cost Plus World Market offer on Ebates. It was that easy! Two days later, I got an email that the in-store cash back was on the way.
